Possible tornado touches down in Leduc

RCMP say a tornado touched down in Leduc, south of Edmonton, Saturday.

Police responded to a call of a small tornado just after 3:30 PM, and found the storm had caused damage to residential properties, cars, and uprooted several trees

Officers went to the affected locations on Highway #2, 54th Street and in the Willow Park Estates residential area.

Crews went through the area to clean up debris, and there are no reports of any injuries.

Officials are still unclear whether the damage was caused by a tornado, or if it was just extreme winds.
