Calgary vigil will remember Orlando victims

A candlelight vigil is being held Sunday night at Olympic Plaza, where victims of the Orlando shooting will be remembered and mourned.
Organizers say it’s an important time to support the Calgary LGBTQ community, many of whom are impacted in different ways by the tragedy.
“We all recognize that as much as Orlando is many miles away from Calgary, we’re still impacted as a community here and it could really happen anywhere,” says organizer Nolan Hill.
Attendees are encouraged to bring their own candles and matches.
The vigil starts at 9 p.m.
