Three Calgary construction workers have been taken to hospital after some bricks fell on them at a downtown work site.
It happened around 1:00 p.m. Wednesday while the two men and one woman were on the 27th floor of the Manulife building on 5th St. S.W.
Stuart Brideaux with EMS said all injuries were relatively minor, although one of the men may have been hit in the head and they will continue to monitor him.
Manulife Vice-President of Operations Shane Beazley said they’re working with Occupational Health and Safety.
“We’ll provide more details as they become available to us,” he said, adding they haven’t had any similar events like this in recent years.
