Innovation Rodeo lassos networks for entrepreneurs

There’s a different kind of rodeo in Calgary Monday.

The first Innovation Rodeo is for local innovators and entrepreneurs.

Chief Wrangler Craig Elias says the goal is to connect business people in the city with others from out of town who are visiting the Calgary Stampede.

“Most entrepreneurs find it hard to bounce ideas off people or if they’ve got an idea but they want to find a way to get it out of their own geography, where they might have some traction, it’s great to have relationships outside of Calgary so you can then grow your business or idea outside of your own natural network, which tends to be where you live,” he said.

The Innovation Rodeo goes until Friday at the ATB Entrepreneur Centre on 17 Avenue SW.
