Grow Calgary accepts generous donation

Grow Calgary is managing a massive donation to its farm, so it can provide fresh, homegrown produce to local organizations.
Enactus Calgary, greengate Garden Centres and Reap (Respect for the Earth and All People) made the donation, making way for seven hours of planting starting Monday afternoon.
Grow Calgary says the donors recognize the need for diversity with food production.
The organization is run entirely by volunteers to grow fresh produce for 21 different social programs in the city including the Calgary Drop-In Centre and Hillhurst-Sunnyside Community Association.
