Two charged in attempted liquor store robbery

Two men have been charged following a violent liquor store robbery in the northeast Calgary community of Temple on Friday.
Police say when two people tried to steal a bottle of alcohol, employees locked the door, a bottle was thrown, a bat swung and a gun was pulled.
One of the employees was shot in the arm, and the robbers fled.
The clerk was sent to hospital, but released.
Police were able to catch up with suspects on Monday and have charged two men; 20-year-old Latef Reakwon Tag El Din and 22-year-old Shakailo Kenneth Sparks with aggravated assault and robbery.
