Another day and more weather related problems in Calgary

Another thunderstorm rolled through the Calgary area Monday afternoon.

It’s a story that’s all too familiar in southern Alberta, especially this year, as it seems we have had several days of active weather.

A thunderstorm warning was issued for the city with Environment Canada calling for nickel size hail and heavy rain.

Paul was in the process of leaving downtown via 1st Street S.E. when he hit flooding.

“The underpass under the railway tracks between ninth avenue and tenth avenue is flooded and then I turned to go down ninth avenue and I had a look at northbound Macleod. It’s also flooded and there’s a car actually floating under the tracks. It’s just incredible how hard it’s coming down right now.”

Paul said that it was coming down so hard that none of the storm drains can handle it.

The water pooling also affected the CTrain line.
