Missing dangerous offender back in custody

A dangerous offender who escaped custody last week is now back behind bars.

Killam RCMP found Darrell Peter Moosomin hitchhiking along Highway 13 near Camrose, thanks to a tip from the public.

He was arrested without incident and currently awaits a hearing.

Moosomin made his escape during an escorted visit to the Samson Pow wow on August 13.

The dangerous offender was serving an indeterminate sentence at the Pe Saskatew Centre before his escape.
