Calgary’s rainbow crosswalk to be painted Thursday night

Work is beginning on Thursday night on a rainbow crosswalk in downtown Calgary.

It’s for the Calgary Pride celebrations over the long weekend and will be at the corner of Stephen Avenue and Centre Street.

The first brush stroke will be done by a 14-year old girl named Milan, who is a member of the LGBT community and also living with a rare form of cancer.

Work begins at 10:30 p.m.
