RCMP have arrested and charged two people and it all started with finding a stolen SUV behind a Rockyford home.
The Southern Alberta RCMP Auto Theft Unit and the Strathmore RCMP were called to a home in the town on Tuesday and found the truck, reported stolen out of Red Deer.
James Richard Howden, 40 years old, of Calgary, was arrested and charged with possession of property obtained by crime of a value exceeding $5,000.
He was also arrested on an outstanding warrant inside the city.
But it was what was hiding in the basement that caught the RCMP’s attention, a small marijuana growing operation.
Rebecca Buckton of Rockyford is now being charged with Cultivation of a Controlled Substance.
