The nation runs to remember Terry Fox

Canadians from across the country will be participating in this year’s 36th Annual Terry Fox Run.
Calgarians are gearing up for the event today at Telus Spark.
Elizabeth Westersund, with the organization, says the run is a great way to get Canadians together to keep Terry’s legacy alive.
“Terry Fox tends to be a great uniter because it appeals to all different cancers and it is kind of a pay what you can, which is really, really important in this economy as well,” said Westersund.
Participants will walk, jog, or run a 1K, 5K or 10K race and pets are welcome.
Registration opened at 8:30 a.m. this morning and the race begins at 10 a.m.
