It promises to be a busy day at Stampede Park.
Thousands of teens and young adults will be converging on the Big Four building for the 19th Annual Youth Hiring Fair on Tuesday.
Last year, more than 8,000 people between the ages of 15 and 24 hit up the fair and Jennifer MacSween with the Calgary Youth Employment Centre says this year promises to be just as busy.
“[We’re] expecting the same turnout this year, we have got thousands of jobs available and 80 employers on site looking to hire those young people,” she said.
MacSween said job seekers should be well dressed, prepared with a resume and should have done some research on the companies that will be there using youthemploymentcentre.ca.
The fair runs 1:30-6 p.m., though applicants may want to get there early.
Last year, more than 1,000 young people were lined up before the event started.
