Province to announce plan to deal with opioid crisis

The province is taking another step to tackle the opioid crisis.
Associate Minister of Health Brandy Payne will announce new actions the government has planned to address the high number of overdoses and the addiction problem.
Alberta Health Services reports there were 363 fentanyl-related deaths in the province in 2016, and 113 in the first three months of this year.
The news conference takes place at 11 a.m. at the legislature.
