Chinook theatregoers hit with pepper spray

Dozens of people were forced to leave the Cineplex Theatre at Chinook Mall Thursday evening, after something resembling pepper or bear spray was released during a show.

Approximately 70 people were evacuated from the building around 9 p.m.

Both Calgary police and the Calgary fire department are trying to determine what happened.

No one was seriously hurt, but paramedics treated several people on scene.

Investigators are interviewing victims and witnesses, but no one is currently in custody.
