Sage Hill quadruple murder victims may have been wrong place at wrong time

Calgary police say they are now dealing with a quadruple homicide in connection to the deaths of three people found in a burned-out car in the northwest community of Sage Hill, whom may have just been in the wrong place at the wrong time.

Authorities have now identified the third victim in the car as 39-year-old Tiffany Ear; the others were 36-year-old Glynnis Fox and 36-year-old Cody Pfeiffer.

The fourth victim is 25-year-old Hanock Afowerk, who was found west of Calgary near Highway 22 and Highway 8 on Wednesday morning.

Investigators say Fox and Ear, who are sisters, may have been caught up in a targeted attack against Afowerk.

Police stress that in this case, the victims died in a brutal and ruthless matter and say it’s imperative anyone with information to come forward.

“We know that people know what happened and if they’re scared, if they’re in any way hesitant to contact us, they can do so anonymously through Crime Stoppers or our tipline,” said CPS Acting Insp. Paul Wozney.

“I’m not going to comment whether these are torture or that type of thing, but these were brutal circumstances with regards to these homicides.”

Police also believe multiple people may be involved in the deaths.

Those who may have information that could assist the investigation are asked to contact the police non-emergency number at 403-266-1234, or Crime Stoppers anonymously using either of the following methods:
