Drunk driver arrested after hit and run in N.W. Calgary

A man in his 20’s is facing impaired driving charges, after some smash ups in the northwest Calgary community of Hawkwood.
Detective Keith Silvester tells 660 NEWS, around 1:30 Saturday morning Calgary police got multiple calls about somebody driving erratically.
Officers were dispatched to a home in the 200 block of Hawkwood Boulevard. when they arrived they found an abandoned vehicle.
The suspected driver was rounded up a short time later.
Silvester says damage to other vehicles in the area had already been done.
“We know that there were at least two and we believe there is some property damage where he ran into a fence as well.”
No injuries were reported.
