Calgary skier dies after hitting tree

A Calgary man is dead after a skiing incident at Panorama Mountain Resort.
It happened Monday afternoon — the 23 year old victim was on a beginner trail and hit a tree.
Columbia Valley RCMP said the man was rushed to a local hospital where he died.
The resort’s CEO and president says their hearts go out to the skier’s family.
The Mounties say the death is accidental and is not considered suspicious.
