Man’s body found in burning vehicle in Coral Springs

A man is dead and a woman has been taken to hospital from the northeast community of Coral Springs.
Calgary police were called to Coral Springs Drive around 1:45 p.m. to an SUV on fire.
Jangeit lives a few doors down.
He said he heard the Toyota’s alarm going off and saw the flames, and that’s when both he and a neighbour called 911.
“A neighbour told me that she looked at the car, ’cause they know the guys, so she went into their house to tell them ‘hey your car’s on fire’, but when she entered, she saw blood in the house,” he said.
A woman was found inside the home in serious but non-life threatening condition.
It’s unclear what her injuries are.
Inside the car, police found the body of a man.
Jangeit said the people who live in the home are an older married couple.
“I never talked to them, but I saw their — grandkid playing over there every day. Usually, he’s playing basketball, hockey all the time in the driveway,” he said.
Police have deemed the incident non suspicious.
