It’s something Calgarians look forward to every holiday season: The Lions Festival of Lights.
Thousands of festive lights will be switched on starting December 1 along 14 Street Northwest.
Lion Otto Silzer, who chairs the event, said they need people to help set everything up.
“We need about a thousand hours of man hours to fully put the display on each year, so we’re looking at from now on until the end of when it lights up, we’re looking for volunteers on Saturdays and Sundays,” explained Silzer.
