SAIT receives large donation from student association

CALGARY (660 NEWS) – Thanks to a campaign started over a decade ago, the SAIT Student’s Association (SAITSA) has given the school a $10 million donation.

In 2007, SAITSA made a plan for the future and started collecting students association fees to create a better space for student activities.

In total, over 70,000 students contributed to the donation over the years and the $10 million gift was presented on Wednesday.

It’s the largest gift of its kind from a student’s association to an institute of technology in western Canada.
