CALGARY (660 NEWS) – In 2018, there were up to 105.3 million rides taken on Calgary Transit.
“So we had some tough years 2016 and 17 with the recession and now we’re seeing our ridership growth come back,” Director of Calgary Transit Doug Morgan said.
He added this is an increase of about 3.4 per cent over 2017 and this is partially due to some of the new services they have on the street.
“Our MAX network is showing ridership (…) totalling over 7,500 boarding’s per day,” he said. “The network certainly is doing what we designed it to do in serving new customers and making transit more convenient.”
Calgary Transit does satisfaction polling each month and he said results showed about 88 per cent of Calgarians are satisfied, and he is encouraged to see more people choosing transit as their preferred mode.
