Carstairs Teacher charged with sexual assault

A teacher in a school in the small community of Carstairs north of Calgary has been charged with sexual assault.

54-year-old Henry John Paulgard at Hugh Sutherland High School was charged after a complaint was brought to the RCMP last Monday.

He has been released from custody and will appear in Didsbury provincial court next Monday on one count of sexual interference and sexual assault.

Hugh Sutherland High School is in the Chinooks Edge school district.
