RCMP aware of voter fraud allegations in UCP leadership race

CALGARY (660 NEWS) — The RCMP have confirmed it’s aware of the allegations of voter fraud involving the 2017 United Conservative Party leadership race.

The allegations involved Jeff Callaway, his campaign that was apparently financed with the sole purpose of undermining candidate Brian Jean, and helping Jason Kenney become leader.

Kenney said he is fine with any investigation.

“Of course, I have been clear all along, we would assist with providing any information, that includes me, I have no been contacted personally by them or asked for an interview but I would happily comply if I was.”

RCMP say they will not release more details unless charges are laid.
