Amber Marshall named Stampede Parade Marshal

CALGARY (660 NEWS) – It’s official! Actress Amber Marshall is the 2019 Stampede Parade Marshall.
The announcement was made Wednesday morning at the Nutrien Western Event Centre.
“Amber represents and promotes western heritage and values both on and off the screen,” said President & Chairman of the Board of the Calgary Stampede, Dana Peers. “She is a role model to many young viewers and I believe she portrays a very positive message.”
Marshall is well known for her roles in Canadian television shows including the long running series ‘Heartland’ which is filed in southern Alberta.
“Being immersed in the western lifestyle has given me a true admiration for women in western culture,” said Marshall. “Their strong, independent, and hardworking attitudes are something I have always looked up to. I am honoured to be this year’s Parade Marshal for the Calgary Stampede, representing all women in western culture.”
She joins the likes of other Canadian celebrities including William Shatner and Jann Arden as Parade Marshals.
