Stampede ready to announce 2019 Parade Marshal

CALGARY (660 NEWS) – A major announcement is expected as the one-month countdown to the Calgary Stampede begins.
On Wednesday morning, we will know the identity of the 2019 Parade Marshall.
Dana Peers, President and Chairman of the Stampede, will make the announcement at 10:00 a.m. at the Nutrien Western Event Centre.
Last year, Olympic bronze medallist Mark McMorris was chosen as the Parade Marshall joining a long list of other prominent names.

Past marshals include members of the Canadian military, the chiefs of the Treaty 7 First Nations and former Calgary Flames star Lanny Macdonald.
Other marshalls include big-name celebrities like William Shatner, Christopher Reeve and even Mickey and Minnie Mouse.
