Alberta man dies after colliding with a deer in Halifax

HALIFAX (NEWS 95.7) – A 49-year-old motorcyclist from Clairmont, Alberta has died after he collided with a deer Tuesday night in Halifax.

It happened on Highway 103 near the rural community of Ingramport.

RCMP said the man was travelling at the front of a group of bikers when the crash happened just after 10 p.m.

Another motorcyclist suffered minor injuries.

The highway was closed for a number of hours, reopening before 6 a.m. Wednesday.

The investigation is ongoing, and RCMP say thoughts are with the victim’s family and friends.
