Calgary couple convicted in son’s death from staph infection filing appeals

CALGARY (660 NEWS) — A Calgary couple convicted in the death of their toddler have filed an appeal.

Jennifer and Jeromie Clark were sentenced to 32 months in prison for failing to provide the necessaries of life to their son, John.

He died in 2013 from a staph infection.

In her appeal filed June 30, Jennifer argues there was overwhelming and conflicting medical evidence presented to the jury.

She also claims the defense never received John’s x-rays.

Jeromie is expected to follow an appeal as well before the deadline later this week.
