Emergency crews douse house fire sparked by lightning

CALGARY (660 NEWS) — Calgary Fire crews confirm a lightning strike sparked a house fire, early Monday morning, in the northwest community of University Heights.
It happened around 2:15 a.m.
Two people in the home were not injured, but will need to find a new place to sleep.
The home and a nearby tree suffered severe damage.
Fire crews were able get the blaze under control quickly, and remained on scene through the night on the lookout for hot spots.
ENMAX was also called in to ensure the safety of the utility service in the area.
