CALGARY (660 NEWS)- 19 year-old Andrew Milner was remembered tonight ahead of a Calgary Cup game at Jack Simpson Gym against St. Francis Xavier University, his hometown school.
Milner grew up in Antigonish, N.S and often practiced at the StFX facility.
His parents and two siblings flew out for the pre-game ceremony.
Milner was just a freshman when he helped the University of Calgary Dinos basketball team win the U Sports national championship in 2018.
He logged 20 minutes in the game and helped the program secure its first ever title.
Milner died in April while on a canoe trip in British Columbia following the completion of his second season with the Dinos.
