CALGARY (660 NEWS) — The Calgary Flames welcome the Washington Capitals to the Saddledome Tuesday night.
For the first time this season, Cam Talbot will be making back-to-back starts. The goalkeeper is coming off an outstanding effort over the weekend in Anaheim.
“Happy that I get another shot tonight,” Talbot said. “It keeps me in a rhythm.”

And a familiar face will be in Washington silks. Forward Garnet Hathaway got his NHL start with the Flames after signing a contract out of college in 2014.
“It was definitely weird when I walked through the side Zamboni door rather than the main one,” the forward chuckled when asked about his return to the Saddledome. “That was different. I had to remember when the visitors’ room was. But, the ice is still great, and it’s a great arena to play in and practice in.”
Hathaway, known for his strong work ethic and tenacious play, suited up in 175 games for Calgary over four seasons, scoring 40 points and putting up 219 penalty minutes.
Although we’re still in the early stages of the 2019-2020 campaign, the Flames are 2-0-0 against Eastern Conference opponents. Calgary will play an Eastern Conference team in five of its next seven games, including hosting the Florida Panthers Thursday.
Puck drop between the Flames and Capitals is 7 p.m. on Sportsnet 960 The Fan and Sportsnet Flames.
