CALGARY (660 NEWS) – It’s the kind of creepy-crawly you want nothing to do with during Halloween.
Former 660 NEWS employee Stephanie Foster said she opened a piece of chocolate she purchased at a Costco and found a maggot crawling on the side of it.
Still alive and crawling this morning.

“As soon as I split the middle of the packaging, all I could see staring back at me was a live crawling maggot. All I could think was, ‘oh no, wow. That’s so gross.'”
Foster went through most of the box the last couple of weeks and the rest of the candy appears ok, she’s not taking chances.
“There’s a few Reese cups left and a couple of others from Hershey’s in there that I’m gonna have to throw away.”
She said she also bought two other boxes from Costco but is worried about those as well.
Foster is using this as a reminder to not only check your kid’s candy on Halloween but any candy you plan to give out to trick or treaters.
