Central Memorial High School evacuated due to fire

CALGARY (660 NEWS) – Central Memorial High School was evacuated Tuesday morning after a small fire broke out.

The Calgary Fire Department said it started when a curtain made contact with a heat source, likely a lamp.

All students and staff were evacuated and crews are currently ventilating the building.

No one was hurt.

In a release, it was stated that firefighters remained on seen until 13:30 in order to properly ventilate the building and ensure the are was safe to breathe.
