But there are some people who are working to keep out city running throughout the holiday’s which will lead to some service schedule changes.

The C-Train will run every 15 minutes throughout the day after 10 p.m., which moves to every half hour until 12:30 in the morning.

On-street parking is free today, tomorrow and January 1st, holiday rates will be in effect at select parking authority.

If you’re a procrastinating Calgarian, you might be a bit out of luck collecting a few extra supplies as retail stores and local shops are closed down for the day.

A majority of grocery stores have also turned off the open sign, but if you’re looking to boost your Christmas spirit, select liquor stores and cannabis shops are open for the day, after a policy change by the Alberta, Gaming, Liquor & Cannabis Commission.

If you plan on going out Christmas Day, Cineplex movie theatres are open as well as many gas stations and convenience stores, including 7-Eleven.
