CALGARY (660 NEWS) — Following a disappointing morning on Wednesday, Calgary police are giving Calgarians a pat on the back.
Between 5 a.m. and 10 a.m. on Wednesday, police report finding 120 vehicles with keys inside. With nine vehicles being reported stolen while they were left to warm up.
Police sent out a message on social media reminding Calgarians to stop leaving their keys in their cars unattended.
It seems people got that message as police report those numbers dropped Thursday morning.
Today we’d like to thank the 584 vehicle owners that we observed using remote starters, the 26 folks who secured their running vehicles with other anti-theft devices, and the 6 hearty souls who sat inside while warming up their engines.
