CALGARY (660 NEWS) – A Calgary city councillor is apologizing and promising to repay a portion of a massive expense claim.
Last year during a trip to Quebec City, Ward two councillor Joe Magliocca claimed more than $6,000 in expenses, including food and drink for entertaining.
The amount was twice as much as other city councillors on the same trip.
Many of the politicians who were recipients of the food and drink Magliocca purchased claimed they never met him.
Magliocca has vowed to repay about $2,100 of the expense claim.
