Peanut spread recalled due to possible listeria

CALGARY (660 NEWS) – Those with peanut allergies are not the only ones that should be avoiding one particular peanut butter spread sold on Canadian shelves.

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) is warning consumers not to eat Nuts ‘N More Plain Peanut Spread.

The peanut butter is being recalled due to possible listeria contamination.

Food contaminated with listeria can cause symptoms of vomiting, nausea, severe headaches, and neck stiffness.

In addition, severe cases can prove fatal.
