Landing gear door issues forces Westjet flight back to Calgary

CALGARY (660 NEWS) – Mechanical issues forced a Westjet flight out of YYC to turn around on Wednesday night.
Westjet spokesperson Lauren Stewart, in a statement saying: “Due to a landing gear door issue, Westjet flight 1 from Calgary to Gatwick with 305 guests onboard made the decision to conduct an air turn back shortly after departure.
The aircraft landed normally around 10 p.m. and passengers were reboarded shortly after.
She adds, “We apologize to our guests and thank them for their patience during this situation.”
No injuries were reported.
