Pilot makes emergency landing in Edmonton

EDMONTON – The pilot of a small float plane is safe after making an emergency landing on a grid road near Edmonton.
R-C-M-P say he was the lone occupant of the single-engine aircraft, and he said he had mechanical issues on Saturday morning.
He put the plane down on the road east of Sherwood Park since he could see it was empty.
Police say the plane suffered very little damage, and no other vehicles or people were involved.
