Calgary to reopen select splash pads, wading pools in July

CALGARY (660NEWS) — Residents in Calgary will be able to cool off this summer after The City of Calgary announced it plans to open certain spray parks, splash pads and wading pools in July.

The outdoor areas were prevented from opening due to the COVID-19 pandemic but the acceleration of the province’s relaunch plan now allows for the public spaces to be used by the public.

The areas include Bowness Park, Prairie Winds, Rotary and South Glenmore Park.

The city added that all amenities would be available for use, including the washrooms.

These are the only locations planned for opening in 2020.
