Calgary truck driver charged following six-vehicle crash

SICAMOUS (660 NEWS) – Mounties in BC have charged a Calgary truck driver after he crossed a double solid line, which caused a six-vehicle crash.

The crash took place on a section of the TransCanada Highway just west of Sicamous.

The collision involved two semi-trucks, an SUV, and three pickup trucks.

Police believe the semi is to blame for the crash because it veered across the centre line.

Four people were taken to hospital, all with non-life-threatening injuries, including the truck driver.

The 32-year-old unnamed Calgary man is facing a charge under the BC motor vehicle act.
