Coyotes, not humans, responsible for cat killings: CPS

CALGARY (660 NEWS) – Calgary police suspect a coyote is responsible for the death of several cats in southwest Calgary.

Some users on Reddit say they have recently found cat corpses, cut in half and dumped on the side of the road in the neighbourhoods of Haysboro, Southwood, and Kingsland.

Police have been investigating these reports but it appears the cats are being killed by coyotes.

It’s common for coyotes to kill their prey in this manner.

Pet owners are being reminded to keep their animals safe inside.
