CALGARY (660 NEWS) – An iconic piece of movie memorabilia has been stolen from a former Calgary nightclub.
The bobsled used in the 1993 film “Cool Runnings” was recently taken off the building at Ranchman’s.
Realtor Rob Campbell posted the news to Facebook saying he has contacted Calgary police about the theft and there is a reward for its return.
“I don’t know what the hell someone thinks they can do with it, but please share this post and if you know anything about who did this or where we can find this piece of Ranchman’s history, please reach out to me directly,” Campbell said in the post.
Some scenes from the popular movie were filmed in Calgary including at Ranchman’s.
The film is a comedy based on the true story of the Jamaican bobsled team which first competed in the 1988 Winter Olympics in Calgary.
The club closed earlier this year due to COVID-19 and last month was put up for lease.
