    Calgary man charged with attempted murder after NW assault

    CALGARY (660 NEWS) – RCMP are investigating after a body was found just outside Chestermere, Alta. on Friday.

    In a brief statement, Chestermere RCMP say they were notified of “human remains” on a rural road west of the city.

    Mounties believe the victim is a woman, but they have not yet identified the deceased.

    The RCMP’s major crimes unit is investigating.

    The body was taken to the medical examiner’s office in Calgary. An autopsy is scheduled for Monday.
