Mountie facing sex assault charge after ASIRT investigation
EDMONTON – An RCMP corporal is facing a sex assault charge after an investigation by the Alberta Serious Incident Response Team (ASIRT).
ASIRT says officer Kire Kondoksi was arrested on Friday and charged with sexual assault.

He and the victim were are known to each other and ASIRT says the assault happened while Kondoski was off duty.
Kondoski was out on a temporary reassignment to administrative duties when the allegation was first brought to the RCMP’s attention.
Kondoski has been released from police custody with some conditions and is scheduled to appear in court on Mar. 4.

ASIRT is called in to investigate when serious injury or death may have been caused by police or when there are serious or sensitive allegations of police misconduct.
