Investigators believe person of interest in fatal stabbing is still in Calgary

CALGARY (660 NEWS) — Calgary police are continuing to search for a person of interest after a fatal stabbing in the city’s northwest back in December.

Investigators believe Michael Elendu, who is wanted on a Canada-wide warrant, is still in the Calgary area although he may have travelled to Winnipeg or British Columbia.

Officers have received multiple tips from the public but have been unable to locate Elendu.

Staff Sgt. Martin Schiavetta said someone in our community knows the whereabouts of Elendu and may be helping him evade police.

Anyone with information about this assault is asked to call the Homicide Tip Line at 403-428-8877, or the CPS non-emergency line at 403-266-1234. Tips can also be submitted anonymously to Crime Stoppers.
