School boards say they’re ready to welcome kids back to class

Calgary’s school boards say they are staffed and ready for the return to in-person learning next week.

CALGARY – School boards in Calgary say they are prepared for the return to in-class learning next week.

The Calgary Board of Education says it will be closely monitoring staffing levels to ensure there are no more operational pressures and continuing to follow all health and safety measures.

The Catholic School District says much of the same, adding it has also added new university graduates to their roster to ensure they have extra staff on hand.

Both boards say they have no plans to offer vaccinations in schools, with the CBE adding a decision to do so would be up to the province.
