Police still looking for a pit bull that bit adult, child

CALGARY – A white pit bull is on the loose in Calgary’s southwest and officers are trying to track it down after it bit two people over the weekend.

The pit bull was last seen on 17 Avenue and 37 Street S.W. near Westbrook Mall where it bit an adult and a child in the area around 6 p.m.

The child was taken to hospital in stable condition.

Police and bylaw officers are working together to try to find the animal, but there haven’t been any reports of sightings or incidents since the bites.

Police say if you see the animal, keep your distance and call them immediately, adding the dog should be considered dangerous.
