One arrested after smoke bomb set off at St. Francis High School

CALGARY — St. Francis High School in northwest Calgary was evacuated on Wednesday after someone set off a smoke bomb in the school’s cafeteria.

The incident prompted a large response from several emergency crews, which also resulted in one person being arrested.

Callers told 660 NEWS that students were rushing out of the school after the smoke bomb was set off.

It’s possible the smoke bomb could be related to a senior grad prank at the school.

Nobody was injured in the incident.
