Bird Canada moves HQ to Calgary

CALGARY – With e-scooters growing in popularity in Alberta, Bird Canada has decided to move its headquarters to Calgary.
Bird was chosen as one of the two e-scooter-share companies allowed to operate in Calgary for the summer and recently made a deal with the town of Okotoks.

It also provides e-scooters in Edmonton.
“Calgarians have really embraced this fast and effective mode of transportation and now as the city begins to open up we see nothing but brighter days ahead for Bird Canada in Alberta,” said the company’s CEO in a release.
The company expects to create about 50 jobs in the city with the move.
Bird is also launching service in the university district in partnership with the U of C.
