Edmonton area man sought after attack on Muslim sisters

ST. ALBERT — RCMP in St. Albert are looking for a man after an attack on two Muslim sisters last week.

Last Wednesday around 12:30 p.m., the two women were walking along a pathway bordering Edmonton, near Alderwood Park, when an unknown man wearing a mask yelled racial remarks at the pair.

The man grabbed one of the women by the Hijab and pushed her to the ground, knocking her unconscious.

The suspect then pulled out a knife, pushed the other woman to the ground and held the knife to her throat while uttering more racial slurs.
